Campus Activities
The PTA Programs described below are funded 100% by PTA Membership, Donations and Fundraising. PTA does not receive funds from the school, district or state. That's why your support is needed and much appreciated!
Reading, Music, Science & Art Programs
We enhance your child's education by providing an Arts Education program, hosting the PTA Reflections art contest, and offering Colt Chorus, Science Night, and twice-yearly Book Fair.
Teacher Support
We provide teachers with a Classroom Allowance to buy curriculum supplementation. We also provide Homework Folders, Field Trip Support, & organize Teacher Appreciation Week in the Spring.
Student Support
PTA provides funding for our College Readiness program. We also keep Emergency Lunch Money on hand and fund Student Assemblies throughout the school year.
Health and Wellness Programs
We sponsor our popular Running Club, which motivates children to be active during recess and before school. We help fund the Safety Patrol and we sponsor Character Counts and drug-awareness during Red Ribbon Week.
Family Events
PTA encourages family togetherness by hosting various events for the whole family to enjoy: Family Science night, Family Art night, Trunk or Treat in Fall, Multicultural nights in Spring, an End-of-Year Picnic
Communication Tools
PTA wants families to be connected. We maintain this Website with latest events and community news, school Bulletin Boards and Display Cases featuring student artwork. We provide a Full-Color Yearbook and we manage School Picture Days.
School Spirit
PTA has Colt Spirit! We will be offering a variety of Spirit Wear available for purchase. We also celebrate our 5th graders by providing funding for the 5th Grade Promotion ceremony.
Volunteer Support
PTA organizes the workroom and keeps its inventory up-to-date, provides Volunteer Training and manages a "Teacher Drop-off Work Program." We also provide funding for the year-end "Volunteer Tea" where classroom helpers are recognized.
